Excursion to Sirajganj. The city is known for its hand weaving and the Bangabandhu Bridge (Jamuna Bridge), the symbol of Sirajganj and the longest bridge in Bangladesh. Visit the Hatikumrul Navatna Temple with its nine towers in Navaratnapara village. The temple is a unique archaeological treasure. Afterward, you will visit some weaving villages and learn about the production of traditional Bangladeshi clothing such as gamchas (cotton scarves), lungis for men, and saris.

Full-day sail to Chilmari River Port for Custom clearance and Immigration formalities of Bangladesh. Chilmari is a major river port near the border with India and is also known for its mid-river sandbars (chars) where many Bengalis live due to the fertile peanut farmland.

Explore Dhubri town visiting the Gurdwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib and the marble statue of Queen Victoria on a walk through the Victoria Park of the same name. Then visit the village of Asharikandi, where traditional handicrafts made of terracotta and ceramics are made.

The morning after breakfast, disembark the ship and proceed for a half day sightseeing, visiting the Kamakhya Temple, dedicated to goddess Shakti and the Assam State Museum. The exhibits Museum are displayed under different sections, viz., Epigraphy, Sculptures, Miscellaneous, Natural History, Art and Crafts, Anthropology, Folk Art, and Arms section. Its library is rich in its stenographic collections ranging from various periodicals, journals, and books relating to art, culture, mythology, biography, and encyclopedic works.

Afternoon sail to Pobitora, a wildlife sanctuary on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra.

Morning visits to the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary from Kajali Ghat (approx. 30 mins), which holds one of the largest Indian Rhinoceros populations in Assam. It is also an important Bird Area and home for more than 2000 migratory and various reptiles.

Thereafter sail to Mayong, a village considered the cradle of Tantra Kriya (black magic) in India. Here sorcery and magic were traditionally practiced and passed down over generations. It has a fearsome reputation for voodoo, black magic, and sorcery performed since time immemorial. The Mayong Central Museum exhibits magical remnants, weapons, old coins, scripts, jewelry made from bones and skulls, and tools used for human sacrifice, among other artifacts.

A full-day sail upstream to Singri, a town in the Sonitpur district of Assam located on the fringe of the Orang National Park & Tiger Reserve. It is sprinkled with archaeological ruins and is known for the Gupteshwar Temple, a pre-historic temple of lord Shiva, located along the bank of the river Brahmaputra.

Afternoon, excursion of Kaziranga National Park’s Central Range by jeep safari. Declared a World Heritage Site due to its amazing wildlife, the Kaziranga National Park is known for having the five big wild animals in its vicinity which are the one-horned Rhinoceros, Asian Elephant, Royal Bengal Tigers, Wild Buffalos, and the Swamp Deer.

Morning sail to Biswanath Ghat, popularly called Gupta Kashi due to the cluster of temples of different gods, like in Kashi (modern-day Varanasi). Visit the Biswanath temple, located at the confluence of the Bridhaganga (Burigonga) river with the Brahmaputra.

Today we drive (approx. 1 hour) to Sivasagar, previously spelled as Sibsagar, it was the capital of the Ahom Kingdom from 1699 to 1788. It gets its name from the big lake, literally meaning “Ocean of Shiv”. Explore the Ahom palaces and temples, called “Dol” with stupa-like structures on the banks of the lake, the Tai Ahom Museum, the Rangpur Palace (Talatal Ghar), and the Rang Ghar amphitheater.

Disembark at Nimati Ghat and transfer to Dibrugarh airport (approx. 4-hrs) for your flight onwards to your next destination (Delhi or Kolkata).
